Keeping an eye on market and food trends is important. Today, time is key. Butchers, professionals in the health and nutrition sector and food industry or food service professionals are also looking for partners who can provide them with trend-led food concepts and easy-to-use solutions to optimise their time and meet consumers’ needs for convenient food options. That is exactly how Solina can create value for our clients.

From saving time to buying time

Modern life can be hectic and our lifestyle obligations can be pretty overwhelming. As a result, we have much less time to devote to planning and preparing meals, and we’re often on the lookout for a quick, fuelling snack. At the same time, however, we still want our food to have that fresh, homemade quality and be a pleasurable experience. The solution to this new paradigm is the “whatever – whenever – wherever” philosophy, in which consumers have to do as little in the kitchen as possible because their food comes with an ideal shelf-life and cooking instructions in just the right size and in a format that works whatever the time of day. Snacks are also higher quality, tastier and more nutritious. This is tomorrow’s food. Solina’s role is to assist clients with a “ready” approach.

Proactive thinking for innovative turnkey concepts

Addressing meat industry issues with Chick’n tin
How can the meat industry use chicken inner fillets in a more efficient way? That’s one of the questions raised by Solina teams in the context of our proactive approach with our clients. We turned chicken inner fillets, which are usually marketed as a fresh cut of poultry, into an innovative and convenient product concept: Chick’n tin. This turnkey solution, developed specifically for our meat industry clients, is also a good illustration of Solina’s expertise in the areas of functionality with its tender and juicy texture; taste with many possible combinations of seasonings; and nutrition with a natural, low-calorie, preservative- and additive-free product. This concept won the Innovation Award at the CFIA Trophées De L'Innovation and a place for tinned chicken in the consumer’s cupboard for more ease of use.
